Measuring Zone Pressure Imbalance

Measuring zone pressure imbalances in the home is important during the auditing phase because it helps determine which areas of the home need the most immediate attention for air-sealing. There are several tests used to determine zone pressure imbalance, and the auditor must be competent in the processes for each one.

After completing this lesson, auditors will be able to:

  • Prepare the home for measuring zone pressure imbalances
  • Use the manometer to conduct zone pressure imbalance tests
  • Understand what zone pressure imbalance tests can tell you about the airtightness of the different zones
